We are glad to help you in the baptism of your child. We thank you for making this important decision to raise your child in the Catholic faith.

DOCUMENTS TO PREPARE 


Here are the documents that you need to prepare and submit to the Parish Office.

 1) Baptism Registration  Form  ( Can be obtained from Beaumont/Banning/St. Mary's offices )

     or you can down load it from this site. Link to the form is in the bottom of this page. You may send the

     completed   from via email.  
 

 2) A copy of your child's Birth Certificate ( you may also send this via email together with the

     Registration Form.

 

3). If you have not yet registered as a parishioner of St. Kateri, we encourage you to register now. The form is available at the parish office or can be downloaded here and send it back to us via email. 

 
BAPTISMAL PREPARATION CLASSES


English Preparation Class is conducted every first Friday of the month from 6:30-8:30 pm in Room 4  in Beaumont Site.  Call Deacon Vic and Mhin Gonzales at 909-996-4664


Spanish Preparation Class is conducted every first Fridays  of the month from 7:00PM-9:00PM  in the Ministry Center in Banning Site. Call Deacon Armando and Ana Luevano at 951-826-1637 or 951-826-1611.


If parents or godparents are from other states, they may take the classes on-line. These are the websites that are available for online classes. After taking the class, please submit  the certificate of completion to the parish office either by email, regular mail or drop it at the mail slot in the parish office:

BAPTISM CELEBRATION


Baptism celebrations are done every Third Saturday of the month:  9:00  A.M. in English  and  10:30  A.M.

in Spanish. The celebration is held at the Banning Site: 157 W. Nicolet St., Banning, CA 92220 


GOD PARENTS


Godparents serve as the second parents of the child in teaching the Catholic faith. They must be good role-models who can give witness to the Child on how to live their Catholic faith.


Here are the requirements to stand as Godparents: 

1. There needs to be only one sponsor (godparent). If there are two, then one must be male, and the other female (Canon 873).

2. Sponsors (godparents) must be fully initiated Catholics (having received Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist), over the age of 16, and in good standing with the Church.


3. Parents cannot sponsor their children.
